iPad or iPad mini running iOS 5.1 or higher
EITHER Symbolic Sound Kyma x.87 with Paca or Pacarana sound design engine running most recent Kyma software and firmware OR Symbolic Sound Kyma x.87 with Capybara 320 sound design engine running most recent Kyma software and firmware version AND ONE of these conditions is TRUE
Your Mac has a bidirectional MIDI connection to the Capybara, and Mac is running with CapyLink or KymaConnect, OR
Your Mac has a bidirectional MIDI connection to the Capybara, and you connect vKiP using network MIDI, OR
Your Windows PC has a bidirectional MIDI connection to the Capybara, it is running rtpMIDI (http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html), and you connect vKiP using network MIDI, OR
You have an iPad compatible MIDI interface that connects bidirectionally to the Capybara, and you connect vKiP using regular MIDI
Direct OSC connection to Paca or Pacarana requires Wi-Fi access between the iPad and the Paca or Pacarana.
When using CapyLink, PacaConnect, or KymaConnect, the Mac running these applications must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad.
Network MIDI connections require that the Mac or PC connects to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad.
Choice of 3 Methods to Connect to Kyma
Wi-Fi OSC to Paca(rana)s or Delora Software's Kymaconnect and CapyLink Mac applications
USB MIDI through a compatible MIDI interact connected to the iPad
network MIDI to any Mac running OS X 10.5 or later, or a Windows PC with third party application installed (see manual for more information)
Swap fader and rotary controls
Control parameters with normal or fine adjustment mode
Browse or load-in Kyma sound snapshots
Randomly create new sounds using the "roll the dice" feature
Adjust Kyma's master volume or mute all sound
"Jump to Touch" Fader Control: Preference setting that causes the fader knob to "jump" directly to any place you tap within the fader/rotary bar
Disable iPad sleep mode (auto lock) with Preference setting
3 connectivity options: Wi-Fi OSC, network MIDI or USB MIDI
Supports multiple Kyma systems on the same network
Access controls in groups of eight using the "Bank" feature
View fader level data and fader/rotary labels on the "display"
"Control Touch Shows Value" Option: Preference setting that causes the real time value changes and the complete label name in the "LCD" display to show when manipulating an individual fader or rotary
2 theme styles: 'Modern' and 'Classic'
3 shortcut buttons to control Kyma DSP: play/pause or stop/start (only available when connected to KymaConnect running on the same Mac running the Kyma application)
