Transform your iPad into a real-time virtual control surface for the Kyma X sound design engine.

All controls are conveniently located on one screen optimized for both landscape and portrait modes. Enjoy the functionality of Kyma with the ease of manipulation possible on a multi-touch screen user interface.
vKiP Features
  • Manipulate and set Kyma sound parameters through faders and rotaries optimized for touch-screen control. Access controls in groups of eight using the "Bank" feature.
  • Swap fader and rotary controls
  • View fader level data and fader/rotary labels on the "display"
  • Control parameters with normal or fine adjustment mode
  • Browse or load-in Kyma sound snapshots
  • Randomly create new sounds using the "roll the dice" feature
  • Adjust Kyma's master volume or mute all sound
  • "Jump to Touch" Fader Control: Preference setting that causes the fader knob to "jump" directly to any place you tap within the fader/rotary bar
  • "Control Touch Shows Value" Option: Preference setting that causes the real time value changes and the complete label name in the "LCD" display to show when manipulating an individual fader or rotary

Other Benefits
  • For Paca(rana) systems, no computer "agent" programs, drivers, or utilities are needed, and it can be used with any computer and OS supported by Kyma. (The Pacarana must be connected to your WiFi network directly or through KymaConnect.or PacaConnect)
  • For Capybara 320 owners,install either our CapyLink or KymaConnect applications to allow vKiP to be used with your Kyma system. See CapyLink or KymaConnect to learn more.
  • With the mobility of the iPad, you are no longer tethered to your computer mouse and screen.
  • Supports systems with one or multiple Paca(ranas)/Capybaras.
  • Diagnostic messages help guide you should a problem arise.

  • iPad
  • EITHER Symbolic Sound Kyma x.75 with Paca or Pacarana sound design engine running running Kyma software and firmware version 6.81 or higher + WiFi access to same network Paca(rana) is connected
  • OR Symbolic Sound Kyma x.75 with Capybara 320 sound design engine running Kyma software and firmware version 6.81 or higher + WiFi access to same network Capybara is connected + Delora CapyLink agent program installed on a Mac with OSX 10.5.8 or later (KymaConnect can be used instead of CapyLink if using 10.6 or 10.7).
